Final Meeting
Congratulations on learning your human rights!
Now would be a great time to review the story of human rights again. Remember how new this all was when you first saw this video?
Discussion Topics
Discuss with the group how receptive people are to learning their Human Rights.
Have a party to celebrate knowing and applying their Human Rights all year! Give out awards to the students who were most active throughout the year. (Can be t-shirts, hats, bags - all gotten from Youth for Human Rights.)
Activities
Additional questions that can be included, regarding the students' experience:
What has learning your human rights meant to you?
Have you ever observed a change in the way you treat people?
By treating people better, how have they treated you?
In the future, how will you continue to use your knowledge of your human rights?
Important Note
Now that your students have completed their journey through learning their human rights, you can revisit these lessons and discussions any time. They can be used in resolving conflicts, helping correct misbehavior, and as a basis for rewarding good conduct.
